Most insurers will write to you 28 days before your renewal date, if you do not cancel then it will be renewed automatically.
Individual costs are not affected by the number of claims and policy holder makes. If there is to be an increase in premiums, you will get a larger increase than a non-claimant
You will have to pay for part of any eligble treatment/consultations, up to the amounnt of the excess you have agreed e.g £100, £1000, £2000 etc. The excess starts at the beginning of each new insurance year, even if treatment is ongoing.
For customers who have never had medical cover, most insurers will review the past 5-7 years of your medical history and make a decision. If you are aware of any pre-existing condition you'll need to let the insurer know.
In most cases you can add members to your polciy anytime.
You can either pay annually or monthly. Accepted forms of payment include direct debits , credit card & debit cards.
